When you install K2 Blackpearl, There is a little gem that is made available to you in Visual studio called the K2 .NET Data Provider. It allows you to use smart objects as your data source. This is a gem because it allows you to connect any UI control to smart objects without code.
Just like its cousin, the smart object integration feature available for Infopath, this cutie allows you to build windows and web apps for smart objects rapidly.
I managed to hookup a 3rd party control – telerik rad grid – to smart objects in seconds š
Those who used K2 smartforms in the K2.net 2003 product would love this data provider as it does not limit your use of ‘no code controls’.
