Forms Magic with SharePoint and Workflow

At #SPSMEL last weekend,  I had the opportunity to present on Forms. Great turnout and good questions from the audience. Thanks to all those who attended :) You made it a memorable session.

I discussed InfoPath in detail and how we are using our K2/SharePoint application platform to deliver process applications with it. I shared a lot of techniques we use and our experiences from real world projects. I hope that you learnt something unique and valuable. I also touched on K2 smartforms as we are moving all our forms development on to this technology. I am planning to do more sessions on this interesting topic in the months to come. Watch this space.

I covered the following sub-topics on Forms:

  • Access to data
  • Validations and Business rules
  • Lookup and Search
  • Inline editing and meta-data management
  • Informative and Not crowded
  • Secured and private
  • Highly Configurable
  • Deployable and Version controlled
  • Flowing and Process enabled
  • Mobile, Social & Cloud
