Last night I had a session at MOSSIG titled K2 blackpoint in black and white. It was a good session and I should say I enjoyed it :) I would love to come again and present a bit more on other bits and pieces that would make a great technical session. Here’s some feedback for those who missed it.
Gartner have named K2 a visionary in the BPM space. In their recently released Magic Quadrant for process driven solutions on the Microsoft platform Gartner recognized K2 (www.k2.com) as an “innovator for its vision and focus on the future; its deep integration with the Microsoft product stack and the quick return-on-investment it brings to Microsoft customers; its focus on fostering collaboration and empowering a broad range of users; its SKU strategy, which allows customers to incrementally advance their BPM maturity; and its strong community and partner ecosystem”. While working against the K2 API you will find that there are a number of connection strings used to make the connection to the various K2 services such as User Role Manager, workflow server, the smartobject server. There is a Class called SCConnectionStringBuilder provided by K2 which makes this task simple and consistent.
